—HTC Magic: The HTC Magic Android (pictured, right) handset is set to hit Europe over the next few days, starting with Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) Spain as reported by Engadget. InternetNews notes that it has gone on presale in the UK with Vodafone, while VentureBeat has Vodafone Germany launching it next week. In France Vodafone’s SFR will start selling on May 6th for deliveries a fortnight later, reports Phandroid, noting that A1 Austria will also carry it.
—Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Services In UAE: UAE telco Etisalat has signed a deal with Nokia for content services from Nokia’s Ovi platform, including maps, navigation and games on Nokia handsets. To start with, Etisalat will let its customers pay for Ovi Maps and N-Gage games via their mobile account, in addition to their credit cards. (release)
—ClearSky On CWW: ClearSky Mobile Media has signed a long-term deal with Carolina West Wireless for a number of services, including hosting a WAP Gateway service, a content management and distribution system and WAP-based mobile advertising. (release)
—Mobile Celebs: Mobile Streams (SEA: MOS) has launched a dedicated celebrity mobile internet portal, wap.mobilecelebs.com, because “celebrity” is one of the top search terms on mobile search engines. It will have news and gossip as well as downloads of tones and pictures. The site has wallpapers for £1.00 (US$1.46), Babes for just £1.50 and Voice Tones for £3.00.
—WeROK (LSE: ROKE) WiFi Service: ROK Entertainment has signed a deal with WeFi to launch WeROK, Wi-Fi powered mobile portal enabling internet access for mobile phones which includes low-cost texting, free mobile phone services, free-streamed mobile TV, and mobile social network services. It’s available on any WiFi-enabled Symbian S60 handset, and PCs.
