LTE In Sweden: Telenor and Tele2 in Sweden have announced the will share spectrum and build a joint Long Term Evolution 4G network, aiming for it to be operational by the end of next year. That’s about the same timeframe as Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and DoCoMo (NYSE: DCM) plan to deploy it, notes GigaOM.

Mobile TV On Buses: The city of Raleigh in North Carolina has rolled out a commuter bus equipped with mobile DTV, with plans to expand the pilot program to five buses by August and another 20 by August 2010. The service appears to run on the Mobile Pedestrian Handheld (MPH) standard, and Engadget notes that it only gets a single local station—although I’d hate to see the fight for the remote if it got more than one channel.

Nokia (NYSE: NOK) Teams With Telefònica For Education: Telefònica and Nokia have signed a strategic agreement to bring educational content to remote schools in Latin America through the use of mobile technology, as well as to work with governments to bolster their nation’s competitiveness. The results of the agreement will first be seen in Chile through its Telefonica (NYSE: TEF) service, and then expand to other Latin American countries where Telefònica operates mainly as Movistar. Myxer @ 20 Million: Free mobile content provider Myxer now has 20 million users and 55 million downloads per month, reports Media Buyer Planner. This is up from 15 million users last November.
