Austin-based Digby, which provides mobile tools to retailers, said today it has acquired Movaya Wireless. Seattle-based Movaya builds apps for the iPhone, Android and other platforms to help sell digital goods. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Release.

Digby said that as part of the transaction, Movaya’s Asian operations center, called Movaya Chengdu Technology, will serve as Digby’s hub for expanding into the mobile commerce opportunity in Asia. Movaya co-Founder and CTO Stanley Wang will join Digby as VP of Engineering. The deal is expected to be finalized in the next 11 days. Both companies were founded in 2006. In October 2008, Digby became one of the first investments by the BlackBerry Partners Fund. It raised $5.5 million in a second round.
