Traffic from 473 publishers that work with AdMob grew 104 percent year-over-year overall, marking a 6.1 percent month-over-month growth rate, according to a new survey done by the mobile ad firm (pdf). (Keep in mind this is information gathered from only one source, so it may not be accurate.) Some highlights:

—Mobile web use in the U.S. and U.K. grew at a much faster rate than the rest of the world, but the company saw significant growth in other regions.

—Indonesian traffic more than doubled in June and became AdMob’s second-largest market thanks primarily to new publishers brought on board that have significant penetration in the country.

—AdMob said it served 3.6 billion ads in June, nearly a 20 percent increase from May.

—Impressions from Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch grew 32 percent month-over-month worldwide, jumping to 52 million impressions overall.

—The company also saw growth from smartphones, which jumped nearly two percentage points to 24.3 percent.
