Mixxer Changes Name, Again: 3Guppies

Mixxer, the Seattle-based mobile content service that announced a $20 million investment last June, has changed its name again, to 3Guppies, and positioning itself as an online widget embeddable within social networking sites that pushes content to the phones. This is the third name change for the company in to years, so hopefully they’ll learn from them and try sticking with one.
It is a one-way widget, meaning users can only push content from online to mobile, not the other way around, so that’s a limiting factor. No revenue models for now, but the company expects the widget to be ad-supported.
