Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT), which just bought Danger for a reported $500 million, is overhauling its mobile group in more ways than one: besides replacing mobile head, it is promoting than 10 executives and others are leaving. It will name Andrew Lee, currently a corporate VP at the company’s server and tools group, as the head of its mobile-communications business as an SVP, reports WSJ.

This means that the existing head Pieter Knook will be leaving: he will retire from the company, after having joined Microsoft in 1990 and serving in a variety of roles, including president of Microsoft’s Asia operations. The new head Lee is a new comer to mobile field…he joined Microsoft in 1990 and has spent most of his career in marketing positions in U.S. and U.K. More changes at Microsoft are detailed here.
