Microsoft Completes Acquisition Of Danger; Co-Founders Join Newly Created PMX Division
Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) announced today it has completed its acquisition of cell phone firm Danger. The company is being integrated into Microsoft’s newly created Premium Mobile Experiences (PMX) team, a group within the Mobile Communications Business (MCB) of the software behemoth’s Entertainment and Devices division. Danger co-founders Matt Hershenson and Joe Britt are joining Microsoft, and will be part of the PMX team, which is focused on consumer-facing mobile projects. No titles or job descriptions were given for Hershenson and Britt, who will report to Roz Ho, corporate VP of PMX. Danger employees will continue to work from their current offices (release).
