LG and Samsung have come out on top in a report on mobile entertainment devices in the US by Parks Associates. According to the report 12 percent of LG owners and 11 percent of Samsung owners reported having mobile TV features, while the figure for Motorola was 8 percent and for Nokia zero percent. Of course, Nokia isn’t pushing hard into the US and doesn’t support DVB-H or CDMA. Yuanzhe (Michael) Cai, director of broadband and gaming, Parks Associates, puts down LG and Samsung’s success to their experience in South Korea. In terms of music phones 6 percent of Nokia phones in the US support the purchase of music tracks, while 22 percent of LG phones and 20 percent of Samsung phones do. (release)
