ITV is launching its first TV series designed specifically to be watched across mobile devices and the internet on Monday, the Guardian reports. The show, the Gym, is a comedy series starring Might Boosh actor Rich Fuller, and Channel 4’s Plus One actress Ingrid Oliver, that will launch first on ITV Mobile, and then on ITV.com’s entertainment channel a week later. The “mobicom,” as ITV calls it, was created by production company Hub TV, and will consist of 50 two-minute episodes. ITV has been talking to advertisers to sponsor the show, but said it had not confirmed anything at the time. This is the second made-for-mobile show from ITV (LSE: ITV). In November it launched Hot Desk, a celebrity interview show (rather than a series) especially for mobile devices.
