Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Mobui will use the funds to expand the company’s software development and customer operations functions. Through the investment, Teletouch will gain access to Mobui’s catalog of mobile applications being built on such platforms as Apple’s iPhone, Research In Motion’s Blackberry, Google’s Android, Windows Mobile and others. Current Mobui clients include: Viacom (NYSE: VIA), TiVo (NSDQ: TIVO), VH1, The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC.com, Sports Illustrated, Barrons.com, Golf.com, and MarketWatch. As part of the transaction, Teletouch President and Chief Operating Officer, T. A. “Kip” Hyde, Jr., will be joining Mobui’s board of directors, effective immediately. Release.
