Industry Moves: Bagdasarian Moves To Sony; Motricity Media GM Joins Snocap; Stein At PopCap

—Raffi Bagdasarian has been appointed Director of Product Development and Operations at Sony Pictures Television’s Mobile Entertainment Group, he reports to Eric Berger, VP Mobile Entertainment. Prior to this Bagdasarian was a Sr. Producer at Universal Music Mobile.

—Former Motricity GM of Media & Entertainment Rex Ishibashi has left and joined online music registry firm Snocap as the Chief Advancement Officer. Rex is responsible for overseeing Snocap’s domestic and international revenue growth, advertising and sponsor sales, and will be involved with the overall strategic direction of the company…back in the days he was co-founder and General Manager of EA.com.

PopCap, the casual game developer behind games such as Bejeweled and Bookworm, has hired a former Cingular mobile gaming exec as director of mobile business development. Andrew Stein, formerly senior marketing manager of Games for Cingular Wireless’ Media Mall, will fill the newly created position as PopCap expands its mobile gaming initiatives.
