imageFollowing this morning’s announcement that Sanjay Jha will become Motorola’s (NYSE: MOT) new co-CEO and CEO of Motorola’s device’s division, Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM) had an announcement of its own. Len Lauer, its EVP and group president, will be replacing Jha as COO. Prior to Qualcomm, Lauer was Sprint’s (NYSE: S) COO. He left a year after Sprint’s merger with Nextel. In addition, Qualcomm said Steve Mollenkopf, a Qualcomm EVP, was promoted to president, and Jim Lederer was promoted to EVP of business planning and finance. In a release, Qualcomm’s CEO Paul Jacobs had nothing but good things to say about Jha, who I’m sure he’ll expect a strong relationship with going forward. Release.
