Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. becomes the latest to try to tackle the mixed opportunities of mobile and various handheld devices by creating a new post. Florent Peyre has been promoted to VP-Emerging Platforms from VP-business and corporate development. Peyre is still reporting to Todd Anderman, SVP, Hacehette Digital, but with a portfolio that might best be described as “stuff we’re not quite sure how to do yet or how to make money from but should be doing.” HFM calls it “creating new experiences for our consumers and advertisers by developing a stream of products and services that will expand audiences and revenue stream.”

Before this, Peyre was involved in acquiring Jumpstart Automotive Media and working with MSN and BermanBraun on the recent launch of lifestyle microsite Glo. In the release, HFM U.S. says it “currently owns 6 mobile sites, 5 iPhone apps and 2 iPad apps with a variety of new products to roll out in the coming months.”
