Industry Moves: George Kidd Resigns As PhonepayPlus CEO

PhonepayPlus, a U.K.-based regulatory organization, announced that George Kidd will resign as CEO at the end of the month. Paul Whiteing, the current director of policy and innovation, will replace him on an interim basis. PhonepayPlus regulates the goods and services that get charged directly to phone bills and pre-pay accounts in the U.K. Last year, the organization was tapped to carry out such day-to-day regulation for the Office of Communications or Ofcom. Release.
