Former Motorola (NYSE: MOT) CEO Ed Zander has resurfaced, and has taken a board seat at EagleView Technologies. The Woodinville, Wash.-based firm develops roof-measuring software that aims to improve the efficiency of solar panel systems by using satellite and aerial measurement technology. Zander, who was also president and COO at Sun Microsystems in the late ‘90s, left the Motorola less than a year ago after the company started to buckle when it failed to come up with an adequate sequel to the popular Razr handset.
