imageOne question has been answered following the departure of longtime Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) mobile chief Marco Boerries: David Ko is being promoted to global head of Yahoo Mobile, responsible for the mobile business, strategy and monetization teams for Yahoo.  Ko had been SVP, Yahoo Mobile, a role that he had been promoted to during the last reshuffle at the Connected Life division just six months ago in September 2008. As SVP of Mobile, he was responsible for the unit’s global operations and business activities. Before that Ko, a Yahoo vet of nine years, had been based in Singapore, where he was managing director for Yahoo Mobile’s Asia Pacific business. He was able to forge some 24 partnerships with mobile operators to make Yahoo’s onesearch their defacto search product in the space of 16 months. This is only one facet of the company-wide reorg being rolled out today by new CEO Carol Bartz so stay tuned. More on the company’s latest reorg on paidContent.org
