BBC Worldwide has Peter Mercier as the head of mobile to lead the broadcaster’s push into mobile with brands such as Little Britain, Doctor Who and Top Gear. Mercier will report to BBC Worldwide’s director of digital media, Simon Danker, and is charged with developing the mobile business, managing key accounts and closing international content licensing deals…the organization already has deals with Orange and 3UK, as well as operators in New Zealand and South Korea. Mercier was previously director of business development for mobile television firm MobiTV (Europe).
