Hispanic-Focused MVNO Movida Gets $40 Million Funding
Movida, the Hispanic-targeted MVNO, has received $40 million in funding by a group of new and existing investors led by Plainfield Asset Management and The Cisneros Group of Companies. The company launched its services in 2005 through Wal-Mart stores, and says it now has 250K subscribers, and will use the funds for additional working capital and to sustain the company’s rapid growth.
