Goojet Raises $8.5 Million In Second Round Funding

imageFrench startup Goojet has raised 6 million euros (US$8.5 million) in second round funding. The round included existing investors Partech International, Elaia Partners and IRDI-ICSO, and new investor VC firm Orkos Capital. Goojet offers a free application/portal with icons that represent your favorite apps, websites and services, which has tailored versiona for the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platform as well as hundreds of Java-capable phones. Goojet currently has 300,000 users in France and plans to use the new funding to expand internationally, reports TechCrunch.

  • I'm not surprised with this announcement.  Like any other company, they are also in need of more funding to support their customers' need.  Moreover, to become more operative than before especially during this financial crisis.

  • They are actually in need of huge amount of funding.  Amount will be necessary to support and improve the companies service towards their customers.
