Google Upgrades Gmail For BlackBerry

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) released the second version of its Gmail service for BlackBerry phones today, adding new functionality such as the ability to access multiple accounts; the ability to pull-up emails and write new ones even when the phone doesn’t have network coverage; and the ability to use short keys, like “t” to go to the top, and “b” to go to the bottom. Gmail mobile 2.0 is available in more than 35 languages, although not all features are available on all phones. The application can be downloaded directly from the phone at m.google.com/mail.

Google did a good job summarizing the features in a high-production video posted on YouTube. Anyone else think they are spending too much time on these informational videos? The product manager in it has four separate wardrobe changes…and Google claims it doesn’t advertise.

  • Internet from mobile wireless services are very useful services. One of the major mailing service providers, Gmail on the mobile is a good news for travelers who need internet services. Surely I hope there will be more and more companies who extend their services to mobiles.
