Mobiles Fernsehen Deutschland GmbH (MFD), which has secured spectrum from local media authorities to broadcast TV signals to mobile phones using the DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcast) standard, continues to expand its reach and the variety of TV programming it offers. According to a German-language email release, the newest addition to MFD’s watcha mobile TV offer is ARD, the German TV station also known as Das Erste (The First – because of its position in the line-up.) To date MFD offers full-length programming from five popular channels and one radio station to users across 16 cities and regions.
