Mobile social network platform provider envIO networks has appointed former Vantrix head Manish Jha as president and CEO of the company. He replaces the company’s co-founder and previous CEO Prakash Iyer, who takes up the position of Chief Technology Officer. Jha, who arrives from Vantrix, a Montreal-based mobile content application firm, where he worked for a little over a year and a half, is better known as the high-profile head of Disney’s ESPN (NYSE: DIS) Mobile and its failed MVNO venture.

envIO is backed by VC’s Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners and recently announced that both Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) and India’s Bharti Airtel were deploying their technology platform (release).
