The European Space Agency has joined the mobile TV race, backing the satellite S-Band DVB-H system promoted by Alcatel. This support comes in the form of funding for “the development and qualification of important components and subsystems”, as well as making its satellite infrastructure available for feasibility testing, reports Science Daily.
