Earnings: EA’s Mobile Revenues Up Slightly

Video game maker Electronic Arts (NSDQ: ERTS) reported revenue of $1.5 billion in its critical quarter ending December 31, up 17 percent year-on-year from $1.28 billion. But the company swung to a net loss of $33 million (-$.10/share) from a profit of $160 million ($.50 per share), which it attributed to a shift in how it recognized revenue and a $78 million restructuring charge.

On the mobile side, its Q407 revenues came in at $7.08 million, slightly up from about $6.87 million in the year-ago quarter. For the year, mobile revenue were $38 million, up 9 percent due to growth in Europe. Not much from the company in terms of details… Mobile revenues for the quarter were $38 million, up 9 percent year-on-year.
