Earnings: DoCoMo Revenues Flat, Profits Fall 25 Percent

DoCoMo has reported its full-year earnings for the last fiscal year ending March 31, reports AP. Japan’s incumbent mobile operator reported an increase in revenue of just 0.5 percent to 4.788 trillion yen (US$39.90 billion). However, it reported a fall in profits of 25.1 percent to 457.3 billion yen (US$3.81 billion) due to increased sales promotion fees and a lack of special gains booked a year ago.

—From DoCoMo’s operating data ARPU fell 3 percent to 6,530 yen per month (US$54.69 per month).

—From the earnings release, revenue from data transmissions increased by 11.3 percent to 535,436 million yen (US$4.5 billion).
