Deutsche Telekom Wins DVB-H Mobile TV Specturm in Germany

Deutsche Telekom’s (NYSE: DT) T-Systems has won control of German radio frequencies allotted for the DVB-H mobile TV broadcast standard in Germany, the country’s networks regulator decided. Who will build the network hasn’t been decided yet.

The DVB-H network would begin in early next year and that Germany’s state capitals should be connected by the end of 2008, reports Reuters. Coverage should reach 90 percent of the German population by 2015.

T-Systems has been running a pilot for a while now i Germany..details for that here.
