@ CTIA: Nokia Launches Its First WiMax Device 180 Feet In The Air

imageToday, at CTIA Nokia (NYSE: NOK) rented a huge crane to lift reporters into the air to demonstrate that its first WiMax tablet—the Nokia N810 Wi Edition—can make the Internet accessible everywhere.

On the platform, each seat had a device in front of it that reporters were able to use while in the air. The device’s home screen has a Google (NSDQ: GOOG) search bar and streaming news headlines. The device comes loaded with WiMax and Wi-Fi, and is the next generation of Nokia’s previous tablet that only had Wi-Fi. It will be available in the summer when Sprint’s (NYSE: S) Xohm service officially launches. Here’s what it looks like:
