I’ve just arrived here in Portland to get the scoop on Clearwire’s first mobile WiMax network, which promises high-speed broadband access throughout the city. Outside they have a green truck with clear sides with a living room set up in the back—representing portable broadband that you normally expect at home in a form factor that you can take with you everywhere. There’s also limousine buses out front that will give driving tours later and a house in the back that will demonstrate how a WiMax network can operate in the home.
