China Mobile Seeks Half Of Its App Store Revenue

imageChina Mobile plans to take 50 percent of all sales from its Mobile Market app store, due to launch in September. This compares unfavorably to the 30 percent cut taken by Apple (NSDQ: AAPL), Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) and Android, but is historically typical of the cuts taken by operators for selling through their deck… and people wanting to sell to the majority of Chinese mobile users pretty much need to deal with China Mobile. “The Mobile Market is now being developed by the China Mobile-controlled Aspire Technologies and China Mobile’s Guangdong branch,” reports TelecomAsia.
