Celeb magazine Hello! is to start beaming daily star gossip to mobiles via SMS and MMS. The text message will include a wrap of headlines from the accompanying website and costs £0.25 ($0.50) per day, while the MMS will contain one news story and a captioned photo and costs £1 ($2) per day - both via monthly subscription.

With Hellomagazine.com, the mag - best known for breaking Michael Douglas’ wedding photo contract with OK! and for securing rights to photos of Brangelina’s newborn daughter - has not excelled on the innovation side, but recently launched its Stilettos At Dawn blog in to a market now occupied by gossip blogs like Gawker and TMZ, and has a reasonably solid website with a separate editorial team that scored 1.5 million users in January (ABCe). Editor Verity J. Smart conceded: “A launch of a mobile service has been long overdue, and I feel that it will be an important addition to our digital canon. A natural extension of a web presence is a mobile offering. The hellomagazine.com mobile offer will please all those who can’t bear to be without the latest celebrity news whilst on the go.” The service is powered by Incentivated.
