CBS Mobile Teams With Aggregate Knowledge On Mobile Content Recommendations

CBS (NYSE: CBS) Mobile is teaming up with content recommendation provider Aggregate Knowledge on a range of targeting and ad services. Under the first phase of the partnership, Aggregate Knowledge will install a system on CBS Mobile News to send and receive content recommendations based on what is being viewed, clicked and read - anonymously and collectively, they hasten to mention - by mobile users with similar interests. The article suggestions will appear under the site’s “Your Headlines” feature.

Just-promoted EVP Jeff Sellinger says the service will expand CBS Mobile’s ad targeting efforts to mobile phones. In particular, the recommendation tools are another building block for its mobile marketing strategy, and an important follow-up to the recent introduction of its location-based mobile ads. Release
