Good news for soccer-addicted males stuck shopping with the wife on a Saturday afternoon. BSkyB is to launch a mobile portal, 24-7 Football, including video goal clips from 380 English Premier League and European Champions League matches. The offering uses the mobile rights the U.K. satellite broadcaster won for the upcoming season and will cost £5 ($10) per month or 50p ($1) per clip, with no additional network costs. BSkyB is partnering with News Corp. stablemates The Sun and the News Of The World newspapers to promote the service in their sports sections for the next three years. Meanwhile, it is preparing to stream its Sky Sports 1, 2 and 3 channels live to mobiles, making all 92 of the games Sky has rights to available live over wireless. (Via NMA).
