AT&T Suspending Parental Control Following 911 Connectivity Problem

AT&T (NYSE: T) is temporarily suspending its parental block service on its phones, after finding problems with 911 connectivity, reports WSJ. The Smart Limits” plan, which launched on Sept. 4, lets parents block calls to and from a cellphone at certain times and set other limits on children’s wireless activity (more on this in our previous report). The problem: if a user dials 911 during the restricted hours and is disconnected for some reason, a 911 operator is blocked from calling back.
