Apple Seeking To Bring An iPhone Game Expert In House

iPhone game startups keep raising funding, while bigger companies like Namco, ngmoco and Playdom are growing their iPhone game empires through acquisitions. But Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) may be gearing up to give them all a run for their money when it comes to crafting iPhone games—as AppleInsider reports that the company is scouting for a “passionate gamer” with experience developing “at least one AAA title” to join its team.

The job listing is posted on Apple’s site; the company is looking for someone with a full deck of development skills—hard coding, audio, graphics as well as networking experience—with a bit of project management to make sure the project ships on deadline. This isn’t Apple’s first games-related hire; in May, it brought in Richard Teversham, a 15-year Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) vet with extensive Xbox experience, for an “educational” role in its European office.
