Apple: 120 Million iOS Devices Shipped; 450 Million TV Shows Downloaded
Apple’s annual fall event kicked off this morning with the company’s visionary leader Steve Jobs doing a couple of minutes of bragging, which has become typically at these kinds of launch events.

The latest numbers:
—iOS family of devices: Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) has shipped 120 million iPod, iPads and iPhones to date, which results in about 230,000 activations a day. (In comparison, Android is activating 200,000 and Symbian activates 300,000.)
—Apps: To date, there’s been 6.5 billion downloads from the app store, that’s 200 apps every second. Of the apps in the store, there’s 25,000 iPad apps.
—iPods: Apple has sold 275 million to date, and 1.5 billion games and entertainment apps have been downloaded to the iPod touch alone.
—iTunes: The iTunes store has sold 11.7 billion songs, 450 million TV episodes, 100 million movies, 35 million books. There are 160 million accounts with credit cards and 1-click in 23 countries. Those people will all have access to Apple’s new music social net, Ping.
