Alltel has launched an LBS application dubbed Where which provides detailed and customized information, maps and directions for thousands of locations such as gas stations, shops, restaurants, hotels, parks, golf courses, ATMs, hospitals and schools. The service costs $2.99 a month, and also offers local weather, news, traffic conditions, and news on local events. It’s provided by uLocate Communications and available on 5 GPS phones. (release)
