Alltel Launches “Day Pass” For Web Access

Alltel is offering a “Day Pass” for $1.49, which lets customers have access to the mobile internet for 24 hours. The service works through technology from Motricity, reports RCR Wireless News. The offer equates to around $45 for data access, which is expensive, but allowing people to “snack” on the mobile internet could whet their appetite and encourage them to use it more. They should also be less worried about on-going billing, since they have to renew the service instead of getting it discontinued if they didn’t want it.
