Al Jazeera has launched two mobile websites to disseminate its news to as many people as possible. The director of Al Jazeera Network Wadah Khanfar stated that the “services would broaden Al-Jazeera’s worldwide accessibility, offering a portal to people who only access the news via their mobile phones” reports Editors Weblog. The English version is at http://m.aljazeera.net/ and the Arabic version at http://ma.aljazeera.net/, and adds to the news organizations digital presence on YouTube, iTunes, Facebook and Twitter reports Brand Republic. A couple of weeks ago Sony (NYSE: SNE) Ericsson (NSDQ: ERIC) signed a deal with Al Jazeera to preload its RSS feed on some handsets.
