AgendiZe Raises $1.3 Million For Local, Mobile Marketing Services

Local and mobile marketing firm AgendiZe has raised $1.3 million in funding from French investment firm Entrepreneur Venture. The Montreal-based company previously raised roughly $2.2 million in funding (€1.5 million) from BNP Paribas Private Equity, Champagne Ardenne Croissance and Aube Investissment in 2006.

AgendiZe offers a suite of local ad services, including click-to-call tools for online yellow pages, video, IM and mobile ad units, as well as social media tools that let users share ad-supported content and other information. The company will use the new money for its international expansion, as well as the launch of a new cost-per-action division. It hired former Canwest Publishing and Envoi USA/Canada vet Gary Campbell, to head up the new performance marketing unit. Current clients include Yellowbook USA, Singapore Press Holdings and Bermuda Yellow Pages. Release.
