Adobe Systems (NSDQ: ADBE) is aligning its mobile and platform operations with new CEO Shantanu Narayen moving the company’s mobile and devices division to become part of its larger “experience and technology” group. The group is led by CTO Kevin Lynch. From the beginning of next month Gary Kovacs, vice president of product management and marketing for Adobe’s mobile division, will be vice president and general manager of the business unit reporting to Lynch. Kovacs replaces for senior vice president (SVP) Al Ramadan, who will leave the company after 10 years with Adobe and Macromedia. Adobe wants to engineer its desktop and device technologies to be “more closely together”, in a reasonable bid to get its Flash client and PDF reader as ubiquitous in the mobile market as it is in the PC market. Release (via Silicon Alley Insider).
