6 Percent Likely To Buy IPhone In Next Year—Markitecture

Markitecture made a survey of 1,300 people of a “nationally representative sample” of the US which found that 6 percent responded they were likely to buy the iPhone within the next year. “77 percent of respondents were at least slightly familiar with the iPhone…41 percent had a good impression of the iPhone based on everything they had seen or heard”. I think the 6 percent figure is an indication of people saying they will buy a product because they really want one—but there are other considerations to consider when buying a handset, and far fewer people are likely to actually buy one. As the release points out, the RAZR hit 6 percent marketshare at its peak…still, it’s got to be pleasing to Apple. release
